Privacy Policy

Overview

Invoicer is designed with your privacy in mind. We believe your business data belongs to you. This policy explains how we handle your information and the steps we take to protect your privacy.

Data Collection

We do not collect any personal data or invoice content. Invoicer is a local-first application. Your business records are stored on your device and your own iCloud account.

  • No user accounts required
  • Secure iCloud synchronization
  • Privacy-first, opt-in analytics
  • No third-party data sharing

iCloud Synchronization

Invoicer uses Apple's iCloud service to sync your data across your devices. This data is stored in your private iCloud database, which is encrypted and accessible only by you. We do not have access to your iCloud data.

Privacy-First Analytics

To help us improve Invoicer, we may collect anonymous, aggregate usage statistics (such as the total number of invoices created or clients added).

  • No personal data is ever collected
  • No invoice content or financial details are ever collected
  • Analytics are completely anonymous and cannot be linked to you
  • You can opt-out at any time in the app settings

Local Storage

Invoicer stores all data locally on your Mac using Apple's Core Data framework. This data includes:

  • Your business/sender profile information
  • Client contact details
  • Invoice records and line items
  • Product/service library items
  • App preferences and settings

This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it (e.g., as a PDF).

In-App Purchases

Invoicer offers optional Pro features via the Mac App Store. When you make a purchase, the transaction is handled entirely by Apple. We do not receive, store, or have access to your payment information.

Apple may share limited purchase data with us (such as whether a subscription is active) to enable Pro features. For more information, see Apple's Privacy Policy.

Third-Party Services

Invoicer does not integrate with any third-party advertising or tracking services. The app uses Apple's native frameworks for iCloud synchronization and App Store purchases.

Data Backup

Your Invoicer data is included in your Mac's Time Machine backups and iCloud backups if you have those services enabled. These backups are managed by Apple according to their privacy policies.

Data Deletion

You can delete all Invoicer data at any time using the "Reset App Data" feature in Settings. Deleting the app will also remove all associated data from your Mac.

Children's Privacy

Invoicer is a business tool intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect or store information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
