Overview
This policy explains how Attach Design handles information when you use the Invoicer macOS app, visit the Invoicer website, or contact us for support. Invoicer is designed as a local-first app: Attach Design does not operate an Invoicer account system or a server that stores your invoices, client records, or business profile.
Information Stored by the App
Invoicer stores the information you enter in a local SwiftData database on your Mac. Depending on the features you use, this may include:
- Business profiles, contact information, logos, and payment instructions
- Client names, addresses, email addresses, tax details, and invoice defaults
- Invoices, line items, payment status, notes, and related financial records
- Saved products and services
- Custom currencies and app preferences
This content is not sent to Attach Design. It leaves your Mac only when you choose a feature that requires it, such as iCloud sync or exporting a file.
iCloud Synchronization
iCloud sync is optional. When enabled, Invoicer uses Apple's private CloudKit database to synchronize app records and iCloud key-value storage to synchronize selected preferences, including currency and invoice defaults. This information is processed by Apple under your iCloud account and counts toward your iCloud storage. Private CloudKit records are accessible only to the account owner by default and are not visible to Attach Design through the CloudKit developer console.
Optional App Analytics
Invoicer uses TelemetryDeck for optional, privacy-focused product analytics. You can control analytics during onboarding and at any time in Settings. When analytics is off, Invoicer does not send these events.
When enabled, Invoicer may send:
- Event names such as invoice exported, client created, or product created
- Aggregate counts of invoices, clients, and products
- An anonymized installation identifier and general technical metadata supplied by TelemetryDeck, such as app version, build, macOS version, device type, and an approximate event time
We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, postal addresses, invoice numbers, line items, amounts, payment instructions, notes, logos, or exported document contents to TelemetryDeck. TelemetryDeck states that it does not store IP addresses and does not use cookies for this analytics service. See the TelemetryDeck Privacy FAQ.
Imports, Exports, and Notifications
Files you import are read from the location you select. PDF, JSON, and report exports are written to locations you choose or configure. These files are outside Invoicer's control after export and may be included in your own backups or cloud-storage services.
If you enable payment reminders, Invoicer schedules notifications through macOS. Reminder content is handled by Apple's local notification system and is not sent to Attach Design.
In-App Purchases
Invoicer offers an optional one-time Pro upgrade through the Mac App Store. Apple processes the transaction and provides Invoicer with the product and verified entitlement information needed to unlock or restore Pro. Attach Design does not receive or store your payment-card details.

Website and Support Services
Like most websites, the hosting provider may process standard server-log information such as your IP address, browser or device details, requested page, and request time to deliver and secure the site. The Invoicer website also uses Google Fonts and embeds a UserJot feedback widget. Loading these services may provide their operators with similar request information. UserJot may also use cookies or similar browser storage. Their handling of information is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and UserJot Privacy Policy.
If you submit feedback, post on the feature board, or email support, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, message, and attachments. Please do not include invoice, client, payment, or other sensitive business information unless it is necessary for us to help you.
Sharing and Sale of Information
Attach Design does not sell your personal information. We disclose information only to the service providers described above as needed to operate Invoicer, process purchases, provide optional analytics, host the website, and respond to support requests, or when required by law.
Retention and Deletion
Local app data remains on your Mac until you delete it. Settings > Reset App Data lets you delete selected categories. If iCloud sync is enabled, those deletions may synchronize to your private iCloud database and other Macs. Deleting Invoicer removes its local app data, but it may not remove information already stored in iCloud, exported files, Time Machine or other backups, or files you placed in third-party storage.
TelemetryDeck retains de-identified analytics events according to its policy. Support emails and feedback are retained only as long as reasonably needed to respond, maintain support history, improve the product, comply with legal obligations, or resolve disputes. You may contact us to request deletion of personal information that Attach Design controls.
Security
We use platform services and reasonable safeguards intended to protect information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's Privacy
Invoicer is a business tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through our support services.
Your Choices and Rights
You can keep iCloud sync off, turn app analytics off in Settings, decline notification permission, delete local app data, and choose whether to submit support information. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our handling of personal information. These rights apply to information Attach Design controls; we cannot access records stored only on your Mac or in your private iCloud database.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
